Interesting facts about CHCP

You will be the third class to have the opportunity to get an International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma. | Our four most popular electives are: Certified lifeguard and Swimming courses and Theater. | Students receive GRIT Bucks from faculty when they demonstrate the school’s Core Values. The school store is open on Fridays for students to use their GRIT Bucks to purchase items of their choice ranging from electronics to food. | The majority of the faculty have been working at CHCP for more than 5 years and are dedicated to the students and school. | Students are eligible to participate in our school-based Summer Youth Employment Program, which allows them to work at CHCP over the summer. | Our graduation rate is 99% in four years.

International Baccalaureate (IB) World School Opportunities

Cypress Hills Collegiate Prep is one of only 13 NYC Public Schools offering the prestigious IB Diploma Programme. All students take IB Language & Literature courses in 11th and 12th grade, building critical thinking, communication, and college-level skills. Additionally, all 9th and 10th grade students are enrolled in at least one Advanced Placement (AP) course, giving them early access to rigorous, college-preparatory academics.
